Diamonds We were both born in Punjab and currently living in USA. I did my BE Degree in Mechanical Engineering from India, ME from England and MBA from USA. I am currently working as a Senior Executive for a Multi-billion Dollar company. My wife, Neelam did her BS and MBA from USA. She is a Chief Executive Officer in a Multi-million Dollar Hospital. During our vacation we built this business in India with the people we did not know before. Thus, we have a much bigger family in India than we ever dreamt and we are enjoying our relationships with our Amway family members. We were introduced to this opportunity in USA just before it was launched in India. This was through a phone call that we received from the hospital Vice President who knew Neelam, my wife from her association in professional societies. Neelam liked the ideas of achieving financial security, freedom of time and stress free life that was impossible in high profile corporate jobs. However, I was not convinced if this is what we wanted to do and could achieve financial freedom. However, the benefits of this business had already impressed Neelam. She was seeing something special in this business that I was unable to visualize. We decided to join and get started. Initially, Neelam worked alone with the help of our up-line in USA. Seeing her persistence and commitment, and after meeting some successful people, I started making small contributions from my side too. We were genuinely excited when the business was launched in India. Our parents have been living with us in USA for many years. All our brothers and sisters are settled in USA. While building this business, we faced lots of personal challenges including taking care of my father, who was bed ridden for two years and expired recently; losing Neelam’s father and her brother at a very young age; taking care of her brother’s family and raising our own children. We have two children, Manu and Neha. Manu just finished his Doctorate in Law and is currently working with a senior judge in South Carolina. Neha is pursuing her post graduation in medicine from Chicago. However, the stress, long working hours and politics at the executive positions motivate us to continue building this business to Diamond level and beyond. It offers financial freedom as well as freedom of time so that we can enjoy a peaceful life and have more choices in life. We couldn’t have been happier than this because today we are jointly following our dreams both in our personal as well as professional life unlike before, when we had to work separately. This business has helped us and our family to travel India and abroad. Helping others to fulfill their dreams in life is very satisfactory. Neelam is looking forward to leave her job and start building the Amway business even more seriously. Now, she enjoys spending her time on her hobbies, music and painting. We look forward to traveling and spending some quality time together
