I started my traditional business while I was studying, but soon realized that the world of traditional business is filled with tension, insecurity, fear and lots of unethical competition. Some times we have to lie and cheat others in order to survive in the business, where risk and initiative becomes a problem rather than an opportunity. We rationalize that this is a part of business, but we never assess the outcome of our bad "karmas" accumulated through our thought process, which will give us a negative ending in life.

After a year of my marriage I became very sick and suffered for almost two years with a disease, which couldn't even be diagnosed. During that period I lost my business completely and understood the meaning of life. Again I had to start from scratch, establishing myself in a new business and in the process became extremely busy, due to which I was unable to spend time with my parents, wife Sandhya, and kids Sarvagya and Sarvadarshi for even a few minutes peacefully. During that time I felt that if some thing adverse happens to me or incase I lose my ability to work, what would be the future of my family. The principle of economics says that the income is based only on 100% ability to work. Incase of even 99% ability, the income would not be 99%, it would be zero!

Though I saw the business plan in 1998 I was initially apprehensive about it. But thanks to the blessings of the Almighty, in 1999 I got introduced to the Amway business after meeting a couple and attending a mega function with them. Since I was yearning to earn a secured income, time, freedom and peace of mind to accomplish my spiritual mission, I jumped immediately at their offer. I wanted to achieve my goals. I became Silver in only 3 months and started my Emerald qualification within 10 months of joining.
This is a different kind of business; initially people try to understand it in their own way, which is why they fail. Our breakthrough comes only by leaving the conventional thinking, public opinion and theory and by stepping beyond the limits of our identity to move into the future mapped by what is "possible"! Besides the monetary rewards, other benefits like positive thinking, tension free life, family values and strong relationship become the way of life. The process becomes easy because of the support system and teamwork, the only requirement being that we need to submit ourselves willingly.

It is our choice what we want or how we want. An iron hammer can break the glass, but the same iron hammer can be used to make strong iron also. Now Amway is not limited to being just a business, it has become a mission for us. I humbly offer my gratitude to my Uplines.
