Diamonds We both are pharmacists & married since 14 years. We are blessed with two lovely children Salonee who is 12 years & Avneesh who is 8 years old. We feel that the last six years have been very exciting as we have been working towards a common goal. I hail from a family that is into iron ore mining and exports for more than forty years. My family played a major role in shaping Goa's political and economic future. For the first seventeen years after Goa's liberation from Portugese rule my grandfather Dayanand Bandodkar & later my mother Shashikala Kakodkar were elected as the 1st and 2nd Chief Ministers of Goa, Daman & Diu. The values they espoused such as character, honesty, integrity are the same values that the founders of Amway and the distributor leaders have espoused. After seven years of business we were looking for diversification and that is when we were introduced to the Amway sales and marketing plan. Some of our "well-wishers" did not approve of our decision to build the Amway business. However, it is now clear that what others have to say does not matter, what really matters is what we feel about "our" decision. Our commitment to the business grew when we attended a major function within three months of getting started. We traveled for fourteen hours with our children, then 6 and 2 years old. We were invited by our upline leaders whom we had not met till then. That one decision, based on faith, to listen to the seniors in the business was the turning point in our life. The positive association in the business has helped us increase our self image. We used to feel that only smart people could build this business. But we were wrong, we realize now that Amway brings the best out in people. Today, we are products of the great Amway Opportunity. Finally we mirror the people with whom we decided to be associated with. The combination of financial & spiritual growth that we see taking place in this business is not seen anywhere else in the world. We love the security that comes "free" once you build this amazing business. Our uplines died in a car accident within two years of starting the Amway business. Today their daughter who is seven years and had survived that crash has a firm foundation on which she can build her future. The beauty of this business is that people can increase the value of their lives. Only those people are remembered in the world that help change other people's lives and bring a smile to their faces. The Amway business enables us to make significant changes in other people's lives. Amway has made us realize our true potential and we are glad we took up the challenge.
