Double Diamonds I was born in a village known as Baich near Tanda-Urmar district Hoshiarpur, Punjab. My parents were from a family of farmers. They were simple illiterate village folks but had a strong yearning that their son should acquire higher education and become a doctor. I was a topper throughout my school and college life. I received my degree in medicine from Medical College, Amritsar in 1968. I pursued my medical profession and moved to Canada in 1994. I had decided that there would never be the second place for me. I must excel in whatever I do. With dreams in my eyes, I was introduced to the Amway business in 1995 and reached the Silver Producer level in just 10 months followed by Pearl in 14 months before going PSDD. I qualified as an Emerald in Canada in just 2 years. But I did not rest here and wanted to do a lot more. I came back to India permanently in 1998 to grow my own business with Amway. Before starting the business in India I got my son Dr. Harleen Braich tie the knot with Dr. Sandeep, a dentist by profession. By the "grace of God", I achieved Silver level in the first month i.e., in May 1998. By now four members of our family were working in different directions to grow the business. My wife and I went on to qualify as Emeralds in March 1999, became Diamonds in July 1999 and then achieved the Executive Diamond status in June 2001. Today I have attained the Double Diamond status. My son and daughter had also attained the Emerald qualification in July 2000. But this success did not come easy. There were many hurdles in the path of building this business successfully in India. Because of lack of delivery system, we had to travel to Delhi to fetch the kits by road, which was risky and tiresome. Several times we had narrow escape from accidents. I am amazed by the traits of this business; it comes wrapped in an ordinary pack but the deeper one gets into it, the better it gets. It's exactly opposite to the traditional businesses which look good on the surface but are usually problematic. This business has not only given us success but also a bunch of fantastic friends. There is tremendous scope in India for this "power of partnership" business. I look forward for the day when the old and young alike will look upon this business with pride, as something extremely worthwhile, viable and multi beneficial opportunity. We worked hard and smart, day and night. As a result, our dream of succeeding came true. Our road to success was paved with strong principles like patience, perseverance, integrity, dedication, honesty, ethics and a sense of purpose. By the grace of God we got the opportunity to become the first Indian Double Diamonds after a long journey full of hardships. Today we are very happy to see our self as Double Diamonds. Amway has brought about a major change in our lifestyles and attitude. We are now enjoying our free time with our children, grandchildren and many friends. Now we are also able to make many friends from all parts of the world. Through the Amway business, we were able to reach out to people and help them fulfill their dreams. We dedicate our success to the hard work and commitment of our team along with the extensive support and guidance of our uplines. This business is a blessing for anyone who dreams of a better future for himself and his family. We are also grateful to God for bringing this superb opportunity into our lives. It has brought us not only success, but financial freedom, peace of mind, social recognition and a brighter vision for the future. Now our dream is to help others to attain freedom of thought and help them to improve their lives. Our focus is on continuous improvement, progress and achievement of individual and group goals.
