Diamonds Anjali and I grew up in Mumbai just a few miles apart, but we did not meet until we moved to the United States. We both happened to come to the US the very same year, me to pursue my master's degree in computer engineering, and Anjali to attend her sister's wedding. Unaware of each other's existence, I moved on in the computer consulting field while Anjali developed her career in the travel field. We were totally oblivious of what lay ahead - we believed that to be God's Master Plan, but here I was, a couple of years into my career, picking up major momentum as an independent computer consultant and there she was, furthering her career as a travel consultant, and in walked a well wisher in my life to talk about a part-time business opportunity. I did not even see this as a business at first; I was just looking to get health insurance services offered to ABOs. I signed up, but did not do much with the business for several months. Little did I know that not only would my attitude change from mild interest, to skepticism, to curiosity, to excitement, to total commitment, but my dreams would upgrade from health insurance, to supporting my family back in India, to a better living standard, to complete financial freedom. Today we are Diamonds in India, Double Diamonds in the USA, and have Q12 business in the UK and Singapore.. My little 'yes' to our mentor gave me all that! But the best gift I got is my wife Anjali. I sponsored Anjali's sister and brother-in-law who in turn sponsored Anjali. Thanks to the positive environment and the mentorship of our Uplines, Anjali was able to achieve success quickly. Within six months of getting married to me, Anjali quit her career in travel. We worked hard, and within a year, we went Diamond. Today, we are blessed with three daughters, Devika, Tarika and Ritika. What is most important to us is the security and peace of mind this business provides and the time with our little ones. We grew up with a very strong value system. Prior to this business, we felt that we had to choose between a jet-set life in the US and some of those values. Now we believe that Amway and our support system actually allow us to enhance these values and live them and at the same time enjoy the number-one lifestyle in the world! Just last year we enjoyed several award trips paid for by the company, including a South African Safari, two trips to Orlando, a trip to Peter Island, a trip to Hawaii and a trip to Ada Michigan on the corporate jet with the whole family for Double Diamond day. In addition we made personal trips to India and Switzerland. We believe that the Amway business in India is specially blessed and will become the number one Amway market in the world. Thanks to this business, we are able to see our parents and our families very often. Anjali's sister and brother-in-law are Diamonds in the USA and her parents are very supportive. Both of Kumar’s sisters & their husbands are Q12s in the business. To earn and keep the respect of our parents and our children, our Uplines, our entire organization and the Corporation is everything to us! I strongly believe, "Amway is one huge, exciting fired-up never ending celebration.
